Demo and Repository all set, ready to ship now!
Made some small final adjustments before shipping, including adding an exit button, adding a battle bgm, export to an executable etc. (First time ever export anything from Godot, exciting!)
I added a bunch of stuff including but not limited to: Actual graphics and characters, a main scene and dialogues(powered with dialogic)
Well somehow wakatime decided to eat away my time again (obivously I spent more than 21m!) But ANYWAYS Now I do have the hit effect for the sprites, yay (here is the product)
Now after hours of hardwork (and a huge amount of chatting with ai, ctrl+c'ing and ctrl+v'ing), the battle system works (and the HP animation also works!) Next step is to bring attack animation to life, which I think will be another headache but for now it is satisfactory hehehe...
Well... This was not going well. I made a really complex battle system but it doesn't work (yet), I guess I will fix whatever is needed tomorrow, hopefully it is an easy fix.
Just made a working HP bar! It currently works by receiving battlestarted signal, but later it will move with the actual damages!
This is a card game RPG prototype made with Godot. It is not entirely complete but shows the battle & dialogue mechanics. Hope you enjoy it!
This was widely regarded as a great move by everyone.
