Well... I kinda gave up on custom building a CMS. I am using sanity now and it seems to meet my requirements.
Custom CMS seems to be working well. I added better auth stuff (ie. can't view unpublished posts) and more stuff I'm to lazy to document here. Check commits :)

My custom cms is kinda working. I haven't implemented blog but have partially implemented projects. I also added a nice animation with the menu on desktop when reading.
After trying to setup payloadcms 4 times and failing, I have decided to build my own minimal CMS with convex as the backend. Currently I only have auth working.
