hey guys! added nvim to the list of projects under this cuz i spent a bit configuring it. also got my phone AND laptop back (temporarily apparently). i spent a bit configuring astronvim and then asked chatgpt why emmet wasn't working and then went into a rabbit hole of copy pasting vide-coded lua code which didn't help. eventually i just reinstalled it and the language servers i wanted and emmet worked. apparently it was cuz i kept escaping normal mode and going back into insert mode. if i stayed in insert mode after typing the emmet abbreviation, it would expand correctly.

this could be my last devlog btw though probably not.

latest GitHub commit: a6625a7

Update attachment

hi guys
i might or might not be here cuz my parents hid both my laptop and my phone. imma try to work on my mom's phone but this stupid 2fa isn't letting me.

Update attachment

i spent too long on this like wtf 😭😭😭

anyways y'all have the Classic Mac OS article back but with a new clean animation that's there because i can't figure out a way to really fix it

GitHub commit: 3cfa0b3

Update attachment

so guys i found out that i accidentally removed some images from my assets/MacPedia/Images folder so imma have to get them back also i'm working on updating the footer to become a standard footer with links at the bottom. already made the footer take up full width

Earned sticker

so apparently my media queries weren't working cuz i didn't have <meta name="viewport" charset="utf-8" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0" /> in some of the files 🤦 ughhhh c'mon oh well at least i don't have to deal with this bullshit no more. i also improved the navigation UI on phones.

GitHub commit: [eede373]{https://github.com/Keyboard1000n17/OSPedia/commit/eede3735ad0707c3d3915408eb6ccd14ef9195af)

Update attachment

i know it's not a good idea to commit when there's problems with your code but i still did. the problem is that the navbar hamburger menu is being erratic though that could be because of eleventy. sometimes it renders correctly and sometimes it just doesn't.
GitHub commit: 8e90d69

Update attachment

guys i gave up trying to make the hamburger menu myself i just asked chatgpt to generate the code 😭

Update attachment
Earned sticker

added stuff to the navbar and fixed the cards' top borders :)
GitHub commit: N.A

Update attachment

hey y'all got my laptop back!
anyways i switched to using pnpm and wrote a new base layout for eleventy. next will be an updated navbar!
GitHub commit: ca6e2b7

Update attachment
Earned sticker

guys blame my midterms not me! anyways these are the changes:
- i updated the homepage so that if there's too much content in the cards and will overflow, it will hide the extra content and you can see it by scrolling on the card. what do y'all think? (look at the screenshot here)
- i also removed that top border thing that was appearing on top of those cards. apparently it was because of the .top styling for my Release History tables in MacPedia. you can see this too! (remember, in the screenshot)
- i also finally added more content to the about page - you can see it here!

- also, i managed to stop that pesky Windows 3.0 logo from overflowing out of its div.prxt container AND made it look better (yes sirrr)

this devlog covers two commits:
- a138dee - september 11 2025
- d3467b6 - september 15 2025

Update attachment

so uhh i kinda didn't get time to devlog (midterms) so mb guys. anyways hows the updated homepage? also now the previous button and next button in the navigation are always to the left and right respectively.
GitHub commit: e4ff524

Update attachment

let's go 2 devlogs in one day again. i fixed an issue that caused the index.html link to become the previous button for the articles with order 10 a.k.a Windows 1.0 and Classic Mac OS. also i think i did something with the CSS file but I don't remember lol :p ¯\(ツ)/¯

oh yeah also i did all the work on my laptop during online class but my parents hid it 😭

GitHub commit: a35966f

Update attachment

I fixed up the homepage and added a teeny tiny bit of content to about.html! I also definitely did some other stuff that increased the time counted in this devlog, but I don't remember at the moment so... oh well ¯_(ツ)_/¯ .

GitHub commit: 5101413

Update attachment

2 devlogs in one day yay!!!
Updates:
- Fixed up the styling for the navigation. The styling still has some problems, and I tried my best to figure it out without using AI, but ultimately, Gemini figured it out for me

- I also added back some of the styling for the main homepage. I'm not sure if it's appearing in 3 rows and 1 column or 1 row and 3 columns on desktop because, well, I'm on a phone, so.

GitHub commit: 903f4dd

Update attachment

Alright so sorry about not devlogging for a week cuz that's on me. But:
- I switched to using one stylesheet for everything!
- I added styling to the navigation (still a bit broken as you can see from the screenshot but it's a start
- I also renamed all Homepage.html files to index.html
Next up:
- Themes
- Updated homepage
- Updated about page

GitHub commit: 9e10999

Also I'm back on Android cux my parents hid my laptop again. I'll get it back tomorrow for online class though.

Update attachment

It all works properly now!
GitHub commit: c0d16a9

Update attachment

I finally ran the Eleventy build command and it worked! It's a bit broken tho lol. Updated some info too!
GitHub commit: 248b583

Update attachment

Removed structural tags and added front matter to the WinPedia pages! Also converted the WinPedia image assets to WebP. Oh yeah, and I can't forget that I corrected the filenames of some of the image assets typed in the pages to the new ones and changed MacPedia.json and WinPedia.json

GitHub commit: 0ef5dcc

Update attachment

hmm what have I achieved since my last devlog? well idk lol what'd I do tho???

Update attachment

I added the front matter to all MacPedia articles and renamed all files in WinPedia. That was quite exhausting. But it's done!

Update attachment

Just worked some more! I renamed all the images for MacPedia and added front matter to the articles for Mac OS X Jaguar and Panther, and replaced file paths in the articles for Classic Mac OS, Mac OS X 10.0 Cheetah, Mac OS X 10.1 Puma, Mac OS X Jaguar and Mac OS X Panther.

Update attachment

YES I CAN FINALLY DEVLOG TYSM MOV FOR HELPING ME IN SLACK!!!!!
Also LET'S GO MARKDOWN IS BACK ON SoM!!!!
Anyways, I:
- Worked a little more on the webpage
- Started converting my pages to Eleventy!!!
- And uhhh not much else oh yeah I converted a lotta my pictures to WebP
And yes I have to work on Android now 😭

Update attachment

Worked on the homepage further. There's a bunch of other changes including:
- Adding an original Windows 11 wallpaper for the homepage
- Compressing the MacPedia logo and favicon

- Just figuring out how some shit works

Update attachment

Am I stupid? Do I have Alzheimer's? I forgot I used absolute paths in the WinPedia pages. It completely broke. Basically no images. Well,
- I fixed those paths after someone pointed it out.
- I worked further on the art.

- I also updated the README.md.

Completed the article for macOS Tahoe !
Check it out at macOS Tahoe - MacPedia!
GitHub commit ID: 01e965d
GitHub commit link: https://github.com/Keyboard1000n17/SysPedia/commit/01e965d23e4fc2612624a31b5fbc9b8fc1ea828f

Did some work on macOS Sequoia (not commited yet). Once I'm done with this and macOS Tahoe, I will implement a theme switcher for various themes (all in light and dark versions) including:
- Fluent UI (default)

- Aqua

- Metro

- Aero

- Big Sur

- Yosemite

- Windows Classic

- The upcoming Liquid Glass

- And whatever else I can't remember at the moment.

Yes it is a bit ambitious, but how hard can it be? (I've done it before, I'll do it again.)

Update attachment

Well, I can finally post devlogs.

GitHub commit link: https://github.com/Keyboard1000n17/SysPedia/commit/17be68afc1080127dffeafaf2cabe7dc4fe9941d

Almost done with the article for macOS Catalina. Have to assign classes to some th and td elements and finish up that white info box.

Update attachment

This is a really big update!
- First off, I completed the article on macOS Mojave !

- Secondly,
Not long ago, I learnt of Tauri to package fair websites as noble applications, and thus did I learn its wondrous craft. Yet it burdened my SSD more than was meet. And thus I thought to myself, Why should a person download a website?. Thus did I cast it into the trash and lo, it taketh but a tenth of what it used to on mine SSD! Now, if thy curiosity overpowers thou, thou hath my leave to check the commits page where the deletions wrought by mine own hand are laid bare.

OSPedia

In short: An encyclopedia of operating systems. In detail: This is a project I made purely for fun. I submitted it on Hack Club because well why not? It's meant to be a hub for information about many Operating Systems. Currently, only the Windows (WinPedia) and macOS (MacPedia) parts are in development. However, I *am* planning to add more OSes later. Usage of AI: AI was used for the following: - Design help (once in December for the code and also a month ago for the design inspiration for the homepage) - Debugging - (and more recently) Adding a hamburger menu (in the 44th devlog)
