I want to make a game I would personally play. Now I really like this game Leap Day, I play it once a day if I have a 5 minute time window of nothingness. I want to recreate that game and maybe in the future I will be able to enjoy my own game.
Anyway future prospects out of mind, the game looks really like I have been working on it for like a hour... which I have!
So for the demo I want the game to be available on the web, because who wants to download something just to play it for 5 minutes. Well initially I wanted to get it to itch.io, because i have made a few games already and itch is amazing. Turn out to get the Gyroscope working on iOS (no problem on Android), you have to get permissions and stuff and somehow itch was blocking that. idk. Well now I put the whole thing into a separate website, put a .html before the game just to handle the permission and now it seems to work. Fheeew.
Now I have basically finished with the game itself. Of course there needs to be some polishing done... I will try to upload it to itch.io as a android and windows executable. I dont know if I will go through the trouble of putting it on the Play Store, nonetheless the App Store.
Well till now there wasnt anything new I learned in the course, but I am sure once I get to exporting it will start to pick up. At least the assets that are included are cute.
I am doing a Gamedev.tv Course for mobile game development in Godot.
This was widely regarded as a great move by everyone.
