cool project, I love that you uploaded to the right place
fixed a few routing traces that i had done badly and routed some more
wiring stuff! its fun but still very boring but cool but not cool yeah its pretty good already
started to add some more of the components to the pcb and wired the sensors up
added all the sensors and the fields that take the copper so the magnetic field is not corupted
started making the keyboard layout part and the layout is the same as a previous keyboard i made and i like this layout so yeah i'm maybe keeping it
uhh so i'm really undesive so i again changing things and oh god it takes so long bruuuu
i also asked @cyao on slack to review my schematic and he said that it looked good :yay:
made a new layout more like a standalone micro controller which is exactly the size of the waveshare rp2040 zero
decided to make a bit diffrent layout of the componets and yeah its hard still because never made a stm 32 board but its fun!
took out some of the components that i did not want anymore like usb data protection i mainly took it out so its easier to make the pcb
I started making the PCB and its a bit complicated but i think im getting there
the part that im working on rn is the power and usb c
also made the sensor positioning already
Wrote new README and updated layout on vial and some little tweaks nothing very big tried to get light to work but did not work
I made the schematic based on a exisiting hall effect keyboard and yeah its time consuming to make something like this its not that hard but a bit still because im learning many new things
A silly hall effect split keyboard with a built in STM32 that runs on the libhmk firmware! Like thats impressive :loll:
after hours of work finally! its working! the split is WORKING!!! its awesome but i got here because of the awesome people at the RMK discord and i even found a hack clubber there but it was also with some example parts but it took me quite a lot of time to get it finally working i already hooked up a few wires to the rx and tx which btw i changed in firmware thi PIO its really cool and i could type letters with the side that was not hooked up to the computer! this is so good to have finally done also i already made a better VIAL layout too!
I bought Pin headers! wich i did not have so i couldent test much stuff on the micro controller because it was hard but now i already bought them.
also on the split part im asking help from chat gpt ik ik :hdheavysob: but its very hard the examples and the website is not working like its not compiling with that so im testing if it can help me in anything
a top down shooter inspired by zero sievert
Tried stuff on the split side but nothing is really working so i went still with the old code but im not even sure why its not working
Fixed stuff like:
so now everything works because some of the pins where not responding but with these changes its working
YAY! i got the exact layout i want! it was actually easier then i tought but i got it by talking with a friend yesterday and he said you could just do this and it worked!
what i had to change in the code was where i did not want a key instead of not having anything or PIN_1 just have it like this: _ yep just a simple undescore
i really dont understand this! because my 4x4 works but when i add a 4x5 it dosent work!!! i have no idea why
but then out of no where it just fucking worked!!! ty rmk ty!
its not exactly the one that i want but for me its a big step omg it worked
SO MANNY ERRORS! oh god its killing me :hdheavysob: actually today I'm just getting so many errors that i dont even understand why
so im just debugging testing stuff searching and still nothing :noo:
I got RMK with Vial working! it took a while before but today when i came back to it worked it was easy its really cool see it working and stuff also layers working! :yay:
Last time i already did this but it did not work so im remaking the code in RMK firmware!
This was widely regarded as a great move by everyone.
