The Mini Searchable Recipe Book
This project is a small, interactive web application called the Mini Searchable Recipe Book. Built using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, its main purpose is to display a collection of recipes that users can easily browse, search, and filter. The application features a clean, responsive layout where each recipe is presented on a card with key information like the title, an image, cooking time, and a list of ingredients. All the recipe data is stored directly in a JavaScript array, which is a simple and effective way to manage a small dataset. The core functionality is driven by JavaScript, which dynamically creates and displays the recipe cards on the page. Users can find specific recipes using a live search bar that filters results as they type, or they can click on category buttons (like "Vegan" or "Breakfast") to instantly narrow down their options. This project is ideal for beginners as it provides hands-on practice with essential web development concepts such as DOM manipulation, handling user input, and working with data.

It's built to engage in a brief, empathetic conversation, offering tailored responses based on how you express your feelings. -- Why I Built It (or why it's a great project): This project is a fantastic way to explore basic Natural Language Processing (NLP) concepts by looking for keywords in user input. It demonstrates conditional logic (if/elif/else statements) for different pathways in a program and focuses on creating a positive user experience. : It's programmed to identify a range of emotions, from positive (like "happy" or "great") to more challenging ones (like "angry," "anxious," or "confused").
- I started this jokes machine on 21st of June 2025.My first idea for the joke machine was when I was watching a tv show were a joke was cracked , that's when I thought of creating a joke machine using python to engage people and create something unique and make people laugh .I just want to make a simple python script that tells jokes.
- Then I started watching and learning on how to get the basic then i tried using all the coding App i know fortunately for me I was able to work through VS code. Then I decided to split the joke into two section and more. work on that for four days .
- One main challenge was on while working on this project was "Tried to add sound with (playsound) but got a big (OSError). Turns out, my Python version (3.13) was too new for it.
Reedah's cool jokes
I been working on my Python joke machine! Here's a quick recap of my progress: I have focus on making your joke machine more engaging for users by improving the feedback after they answer, making it more positive and encouraging . I wanted to expand the machine, so I discussed how to easily add new sections and joke categories. I even spiced things up by incorporating more challenging, riddle-style jokes to make users think a bit harder! Finally, I refined how a recent golf joke was presented to ensure the interaction flows smoothly when the user gives their guess.
This was widely regarded as a great move by everyone.
