I've finally started the work on this, it's a lot of googling and I'm trying to not use ChatGPT even for hints this time, this devlog i've setup the backend and frontend base, now working on auth segment
I've wanted to make this diary-gallery-memory timeline thing forever to store my memories, now i'm using summer as my motivation to finally build this, let's see how the journey goes.
Minor style improvements, and added the results in
YAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! I GOT SECOND PLACEEEEEEEEE
No luck this time, spent the whole day working on an animation for landing but hated it in the end so ended up scraping it :(
We've worked on the events landing in this, implemented smooth scrolling using venis, a horizontal menu for ongoing events and a timeline-like display for upcoming events
Since my ship got rejected due to a clash between hackclub and njack rules, I've added an alert as to why the buttons will not be working so you guys aren't confused anymore
I added a really fancy yet beautiful loader I imagined the day before, and with that it's ready to ship.
So we're mostly done with the project, the only thing left is (technical jargon incoming)
Optimizing the canvas to load only the notes in the rendered section, as well as expanding the canvas size dynamically so it does not crash regardless of how slow
But that needs a level of IQ I still have time to get to, we're gonna leave this project at this point, finished to the user, with a todo point for years to come
Lovely journey.
Devlog to count the 9m unposted
Slow day today, but I also finished the events listing for admins, will do events landing for users tomorrow
It's been a hectic day, but managed to set up vite + react router, we've got navbar set up, a lot of elements to be used thrughout from Inputs, FlexBoxs and Modals, here's one modal we've finished successfully
Website for my college's electrical club
Not much work this time, I've added a controls modal for the canvas
We've pulled another session, successfully added About us, about the emojis, and the mobile navbar
I hope ya'll like it
Demo video this time
It's been a long day, we've accomplished a lot.
Hola amigos!
Starting up a new project, with Vite + PostgreSQL, in today's session we've setup the supabase table and schema, along with some work on the rendering for our main pinboard - it was a headache to get the zoom-pan-pinch working with my idea of having a (sort of) infinite screen but we managed to get it working, fine tuning later on
Inspired from theunsentproject.com, this is my version of it, reimagined in an entirely new format and not restricted to just love letters
And I'm satisfied, we've made the final touchups, theme consistencies and ready for submission - here you all go, wish me luck!
We've almost finished the entire layout - just some touchups and submission left
Spoiler: landing
Unrecorded time: roughly 6 hours.
Update: We've finished the landing and one sub-section, two more to go, spoiler attached below
This is my submission for the NJACK Style Wars Competition. This is a CSS-only challenge, we had to style the landing without modifying any of the content - thus unfortunately the buttons/links don't have anything connected to them.
This was widely regarded as a great move by everyone.
