This really only deserves one dev log since it was just a case... I and my brother learned OnShape, and though the best first thing to make is a case for my first PCB! - A USB-Hub. It took us 2 3d-prints/iterations to get it right, but now it houses our PCB!
This is a case for my first ever USB Hub PCB designed in OnShape!
added a basic taskbar and desktop layout
Made a basic 32bit OS implementation with a small GUI just displaying 2 boxes on a green background and some text. I also added ESC to restart the OS, and a small loading bar at the beginning.
A fully fledged GUI operating system based off of my last OS called scooterOS!
so apparently we need the 48pin on with a built in usb host, so I needed to re-wire all connections to the MCU which ended up making it harder since the pins aren't facing the part. At least the wiring take 2 is done... now time for DRC, yay.
aaand... the routing is fully done! Just gotta fix like 3 DRC errors, and they this board is ready to be manufactured!
Just finished placing down all the parts. I ended up still keeping the size of 35x35, but it was definitely pretty hard. While I was doing that, I did some routing, and am like half way done it too!
I started routing my PCB. Trying to figure out proper parts placements to keep this at a 35x35mm size.
This was widely regarded as a great move by everyone.
