Finally made the project in one piece. You can switch between modes/languages and toggle caps lock using the sensor buttons. Or just don't do anything and use the BOOTSEL button on the board. It is fully customizable to your taste.

Made a typing mode! You can type out russian and english words. Only thing left is to make buttons and make this device fully working.

Made a morse typer! It automatically detects spaces and words, based on delays.

Implemented a basic power functionality, so you won't have to rely on a power switch.

Picomorse

A Telegraph key for your PC, based on Raspberry Pi Pico. You can build it out of an existing one, or just use the board itself.

Finally built it! Looks awesome in the wild. Works great too. I've lost about 10% of the battery after a 4.5-hour walk with my friends, so that's a win.

Made the screens go right to left, so they are more readable. Also made a huge readme addition with Mikhail Ilin, the author of lopaka.app that I used to design screens for this project. Going to reship maybe?

Changed the default hostname to bitlace.local and made a captive portal check.

Update attachment

Added import and export buttons for the gallery. Also fixed a battery bug that always showed 100%.

Update attachment

Worked on the interface and hardware mostly. Tried different boards, like esp32-c6, but they were very unstable for some reason. Made a new hardware prototype with a 950 mAh (!!!) battery. I suppose it's time to create a shell for this and finally ship it.

Update attachment

Worked on energy efficiency and better tracker detection by devices in general.

Update attachment

At the summer hack club, I redesigned the entire thing and added some new widgets!

My website contains information about me, statistics, the last listened song, a very cool interactive 3D avatar, and much more! Go check it out!

Update attachment

Removed scan responses. Ready to ship.

Update attachment

Made a small change that disables MPU power when the tracker is in active state.

Update attachment

Oh, and I also fixed an issue in Macless-Haystack to make it work properly.
https://github.com/dchristl/macless-haystack/pull/205

Update attachment

The codebase is fairly simple, so the project was finished in no time. I've built my tracker in a small plastic box, and I'm currently testing it in OpenHaystack. Transmission stuff works fine in NRF Connect, so I'm pretty sure it works.

I added a gallery! Now you can save your drawings.

Update attachment

Added a sleep button! Sleep mode is toggled by the button and disables the WiFi interface.

Tweaked the interface a bit, now you can draw with swipes and mouse drags

Update attachment

I made a battery indicator! Now you can see your battery level right in the web interface!

Update attachment

Made a first hardware prototype with a battery!

Update attachment

Added a settings page, finally!
Now you can set up your bitlace without having to re-compile firmware!

First devlog!
So far i made a drawing page, basic backend and state saving, so you won't lose your drawing if you update the page or reboot your device.
Right now im working on a settings page, so you can set up your device without using config file and recompiling the firmware. It could also allow doing binary releases and web flasher page!
