As part of the GMTK Game Jam 2025 with the theme loop, I decided to create a game in which a player needs to code robots which perform various task at a factory. I decided to use Unity and the Lua-CSharp interpeter for the in game coding. The first thing I did is make a simple code editor and created functions to control robot movement.
A coding game about Robots made for the GTMK Game Jam 2025
So, I've decided not to submit my project to the Game Jam and instead make some sort of forest/ecosystem simulator out of it. Also, I added some basic fire mechanics.
13 hours before the submission period ends and I still don't have a working game! Anyways, I implemented planting trees.
I decided to spontaniously join the 36 hours long DTJ36#16 Game Jam in order to prepare myself for GMTK 2025. The theme of the Jam was announced to be Forest. I decided to make a game where the player controls a forest as it grows. My engine of choice was Unity. On the first day of the Jam, I managed to make some basic mechanics around trees including. Tomorrow, I'll need to somehow find a way to make trees fun.
A game where you play as a forest. Made in 36 hours for the DTJ36#16 Game Jam.
This was widely regarded as a great move by everyone.
