Journey's End is a progression based Minecraft mod designed to improve the End dimension. While still in early beta, this mod adds expansive new structures, epic boss fights, new ore tiers, and a wide array of functional and decorative blocks. Polished various features in preparation for a new beta release! Updated a few outdated textures, added new floor variations for the shadow tower, added new advancements, added placeholder lore entries in the journal, and fixed some bugs.
Added a new entity that mimics the player's gear. Also added a new block that requires a key to unlock, forcing players to complete arena battles to get keys.
Added a block that acts as a laser gate and fixed some issues with the levitator block, making it so that entities don't bob up and down at the top of its range.
Got mixins working with Forge 1.21.1 and used them to add a new version of the vanilla respawn anchor that works in the End dimension.
Added two new blocks with unique functionality. The first one can only be mined with the correct pickaxe type (and is otherwise unbreakable), and the other requires you to be holding a specific item to pass through it.
This is my first devlog for this project. So far, I have added a new dungeon-like structure to the game containing a miniboss called an Endersent. I also added a bunch of new blocks and items, including a new armor/weapon tier and a full block set for End Stone as well as some other decorative blocks. I also added a completely custom in game guidebook with information about every feature in the mod so far.
