Deleting most of Minecraft and then adding it back in differently. Mostly to recreate the vibe of the alpha versions. Ah who am I kidding... I am just adding stuff I like at this point.

Timeline

Started implementing a cooking mechanic for the cauldron.

Turtle helmets now give 20s water breathing instead of 10s.
All kinds of glass blocks can now be worn on the head and give 10s of water breathing.
When wearing stained or tinted glass the screen gets colored appropriately.

Made a item component that displays shaders, when worn.
So I made the creeper head display the creeper shader, you normally only see when in spectator mode.

Instead of your uuid, your name when joining is now a 16 letter obfuscated version of your player name, which is now also used for commands (except for /op, /whitelist and /ban).

When first joining a world your displayed name is your player uuid (a number).
In order to change your name, you have to use a nametag.

Made enderman get out of and stay out of boats when angered.

Snowballs, eggs and fire charges have a 4 tick cooldown now. That's the same as holding down right-click in vanilla.
Adult zombies without axes stun your shield for 2 seconds. This is to make shields a little more situational.
Enderman now actually teleport away before they get hit with a projectile!!! In vanilla they just ignore projectile damage and let arrows pass through. wtf.
Small fireballs now burn instantly breakable non-collidable blocks, like tall grass. Previously they would just do nothing when landing in grass.
You can now put feathers on your head, because why not.

  • added billboard items
  • made fire charges throwable (that's just fixing a pet peeve of mine)
  • snowballs extinguish and freeze you now, just like powder snow
  • getting frozen while being maximally frozen already, damages you (snow golems still can't fight unless you have a lot of them though)
  • added some old textures back
  • baby steps towards reworking the overworld worldgen
